Hello, I’m Caroline of Cara Hodge Photography! I’m from the West country of England, near Bath. I am married to a salt-of-the-earth Irish guy, Nick, and have two children, Florence Chantal, 15, and Benedict Gabriel, 5. We live in Abu Dhabi in the U.A.E right now and enjoy traveling during school holidays. I took up photography about three and a half years ago when my son was about 18 months. I love soft low light, and rich dark colors in my own photography, but there is a lot of different photographic styles I admire.

1/ I live in Abu Dhabi
2/ I am a black belt 2nd Dan in Shotokan karate
3/ I love rainy windows and would love to get a chance to photograph them soon (maybe in England this summer?)
4/ I love the smell of cut grass
5/ I adore strong English Breakfast tea
6/ I’m a fan of Eminem and of a lot of rap music in general
7/ That said, on quite a different note (sorry couldn’t help myself, cheesy I know…), I love Ave Maria by Schubert and edit photographs to this piece of music quite a lot…
8/ I’m drawn to the mystery and magnetism of wild cats such as a leopards and panthers
9/ I love ridiculously high heels when I go out
10/ I feel at home in wilderness places (but clearly not in those shoes)
