Wow, what an amazing week! It was such an honor to be the guest judge for the past week. I chose the theme Raw Emotion because that’s what I aim to capture with my photos- be it the happy ones or the sad ones, and especially the little emotional moments in between that might go unnoticed.
I am so excited that there were such beautiful submissions this week. It was hard to choose, but these are the submissions that managed to truly move something within me. Thank you to all the talented photographers who shared their work this past week!

This stunning self-portrait had me drawing in my breath the first time I saw it. I love everything about it- the single tear, the smeared mascara, the beautiful lips. It’s sad, but it’s so beautiful at the same time. Just wonderful.

Whew! What a sensual moment. I feel like fanning myself a little when I look at this beautiful picture. I especially love the grain.  Everything about this photograph is gorgeous.

This is one of the pictures that keeps drawing me in and has me coming back to look again. The androgyny of the child, the gorgeous light and warm colors. And then that serious, yet child-like stare. Beautiful!

I love everything about this picture! The black & white conversion is gorgeous, the depth of field is just perfect. That look of melancholy in a face that looks much wiser than the child’s years. An old soul looking back at me.
