What about this session was most memorable?
The bride is a widow who lost her 1st husband, in 2013, after only being married for 5 months. It was so beautiful to see her finding love and happiness after such a tragic loss. It will be one of those sessions where the images and memories will stay with me for every.

 Were there any hurdles?
I have to be completely honest, this session was probably one of the most easy going sessions that I have ever done. The lighting was perfect, the couple was cute and the session flowed smoothly.

Your best photographer/session advice?
Get to know your clients and make them feel like they are your closest friends. Talking to them throughout the session will help them to relax, thus allowing them to feel more comfortable in front of the camera. It is when your clients are relaxed that you get the purest and most natural images.

What gear was used to achieve these?
Nikon D610 | Sigma Art 35

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
I am a 30 year old small town gal originally from Ohio. Six years ago, my husband and I planted roots and started our family here in Northern Virginia where my husband took a job. I love the culture and history that surrounds us, but secretly dream of moving to a small cabin in the peaceful mountains of Colorado! I got into photography almost 6 years ago after I had our daughter in an attempt to capture as many amazing moments of her growing up as possible. From there it grew into such an amazing passion for me! Over the past 6 years I’ve taught myself how to master my camera, but still allowing myself to grow and learn everyday. I don’t think you can ever stop growing or learning in photography! Last January was when I decided to take the leap and turn my passion into a business. I have been so overwhelmed by the amount of support I have received and the amazing people I’ve gotten to photograph over the past 12 months. With as great as 2016 was for me, I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store!!
