Tell us a bit about your approach to the work you do, your time in the business and a few personal facts about you.
I love working with a really playful & intimate couple. I love everything to be really natural & authentic. I typically start a session getting to know the couple, about their relationship and what makes them most comfortable. I try to give direction more than specific photos and document them interacting.
I have been doing photography for a year, although I have always had a passion. My business just launched in the month of October! It has been a roller coaster ride that I have completely loved & been so thankful for!
I am a coffee addict, I am married & my husband has fully supported my journey in this wonderful community, I’m a vegetarian, not for health but for my complete connection to animals, my family and I are insanely close & last but not least my favorite band is Hanson, forever and always.
What about this session was most memorable?
We went out to their amazing Scout and just had an adventure through the Joshua Tree National Park, finding spots on the side of the road that spoke to us creatively. They moved here and fell in love with the energy of the desert & it was so neat to talk to them from a newcomers perspective.
Were there any hurdles?
No! We woke up that day to an overcast sky, but that didn’t stand in the way at all! I loved it!
Your best photographer/session advice?
My personal best advice would be to do your best to make your client comfortable, location, direction and so forth. Try to just enjoy the moment and have fun!
What gear was used to achieve these?
This session was taken a little while ago, so I used a Canon T3i Rebel Body, I borrowed a fellow photographer prime lens, 50mm F-1.2 (I believe!)
