BE INSPIRED MOTHER SESSION | Feature by Sweet Nest Photography, Bethany Boitnott

Tell us a bit about your approach to the work you do, your time in the business and a few personal facts about you.
I approach photography as a way to free my mind, create a story and find the beauty in everything. I first fell in love with photography when developing film in high school. My Husband bought my first DSLR three years ago to document our little ones growing up and since then I turned my passion into a business, which I am so grateful for. My family inspires my soul.
What about this session was most memorable?
The most memorable part of this session was embracing motherhood. The bond between Lauren and her babies shines through and really makes you feel something.
Were there any hurdles?
There were no hurdles for this session. The light was magic and we had a blast!
Your best photographer/session advice?
The best advice I can give is to let go of the rules and follow your heart. Stop comparing yourself to other artists and find what completes you. The rest will fall into place. Three things that I live by are love, connection, and light.
What gear was used to achieve these?
Nikon D850 and 35 1.4 Sigma art.

ABOUT THE ARTIST :
My name is Bethany, I am a wife and mother of two beautiful little girls. My family is everything to me. I married my high school sweetheart, who is the other half of my heart and an amazing artist. We love exploring the outdoors together, cooking and art. I love vintage quilts, celebrating everything imperfect and looking for magic in the everyday. Photography is my passion, where I let my creative energy flow and feel free. This journey began when my Mom gave me an old Nikon film camera in high school. From that day on, I knew this was my calling. I’m not your traditional photographer, I embrace silly faces, tears and real moments.
