Tell us a bit about your approach to the work you do, your time in the business and a few personal facts about you.

My name is Carrie Robinson. I have two children that I love to photograph and capture every moment. I just want to share my love for photography with others so they can have those precious moments to cherish forever too. I have always had a passion for photography. Ever since I ever received a point and shoot camera. I remember always taking pictures of everyone when I would have friends or family over. It has always just been my favorite thing to do. I did not start actually learning the ins and outs of my camera until around 2016. I have now taken courses and invested a lot of time and money into what I know now. I am 26 years old and in Jacksonville, Florida while my husband is stationed here with the Navy. I’m a mother to two beautiful children.

What makes you the most nervous during a session?

What makes me the most nervous about a session is meeting new people. I suffer with anxiety so it’s always hard showing up and meeting others but once I’m there and start to photograph them, we just have so much fun and I’m able to capture that with pictures.

What about this session was most memorable?

This was actually a model call that my friend and I put together. So, we were able to try new techniques! I was able to try a few that I had learned from a course and they’re now my favorite images! Using direct light for the first time was definitely a learning experience for me. I typically do not utilize the sun in that aspect but I’m learning to photograph with the situation that I’m given!

Your best photographer/session advice?

Any advice that I would give to any photographers out there is to not be afraid to try something new. Just have fun. Don’t worry about other photographers work. Your clients picked you because they see what you’re producing and wanted you!

What is one goal for your business ?

My one goal this year is to actually make a livable wage and book many more sessions. I see myself growing every day while I’m still learning!

What gear and preset were used to capture and process these?

I used my 5D Mark IV with my 50mm 1.8 lens.

I used Smal presets for the base of these. I then tweak them to be where I

want them at.

I am a photographer located in Jacksonville, Florida. I am a mother to two beautiful children. One boy and one girl. My husband is in the United States Navy. I am 26 years old. I specialize in couples, maternity, and family. I let my photography tell a story with every session. I am inspired by the love and passion between couples and families. Capturing precious family moments is important to me and inspires all of my work. From photos of couples sharing a loving embrace to photographing a family with their brand new addition. My goal is to harness those moments!
