To start, here’s a fun blast from the past! Not too far from the past though, 19 months ago. I had no idea what I was doing…but most of all I had no idea how hard I was about to fall for this art.

Dear Photographer,

I started this beautiful journey 19 months ago and let me tell you it has been life changing. I am a completely different person today then I was on the day of my 1st shoot. Isn’t it incredible how art can change your life? I live and breathe it and I wake up feeling so alive because of it! It’s extremely clichè of me, but like many others I decided to pick up photography when I realized how quickly time was flying with my little one.  As a mother I don’t want to forget a single thing, the good and the bad! I’ve recently had a big change in heart with my direction and have decided to not take any clients for a couple of years and pour my heart into documenting my family’s life…and soon mentor. That is enough for me, my heart will be content. The days are long but the years are short, it’s all so precious to me. My future goal for myself and my work is for somebody to be able to stumble across my art and be reminded to stop and smell the roses and to find the beauty in the mundane. If I can get that message across to one person I call that success!

About the Photographer:

I’m not one to write about my self so here we go! My name is Chloe, I’m a 24 year old doting wife and mother. I live in a small town in Texas called Decatur just outside of DFW. I still consider myself a baby in the photography community, I have been shooting for almost 19 months now and don’t ever plan on stopping! Growing up I was always drawn to art of all types, I knew I was born to create and express myself but I was not sure how. Photography fell into my lap shortly after my little one was born and it clicked! I’ve been a woman obsessed ever since! I shoot with a Canon 5d Mark iii, Canon 50mm 1.4 and Canon 28mm 1.8 (and have been eyeing the 35 Sigma Art for quite some time). I’m a natural light gal and crave authenticity. Documentary photography is where my heart lies. This is the very beginning of my journey and I’m so excited to see what’s in store for the future!
